MSSC (Manufacturing Skill Standards Council)
The MSSC is an industry-led training, assessment, and certification organization focused on the core technical competencies needed by the nation's frontline production and supply chain logistics technicians.
After completing their technical core and General Education requirements, GCSC students and the Engineering Technology programs are eligible to take the MSSC Production Technician Certificate (CPT).
How Do I Schedule an MSSC Assessment with the Testing Center?
Prior to any testing, all candidates must create an account with MSSC at https://login.msscusa.org and they must obtain a candidate number in order to test. Candidates will also need to download and read the CPT Candidate Handbook prior to testing. The link can be found here: https://www.msscusa.org/candidate-handbook/.
Next, all candidates must download and fill out the MSSC Registration Form for Gulf Coast State College. Candidates must send the completed registration form to the Testing Center at testingcenter@gulfcoast.edu 5 days prior to their desired testing date. Failure to do so may jeopardize your ability to test.
All MSSC testing are administered on Mondays and Wednesdays between the hours of 9am until 1pm during the semester, excerpt during Midterms and Finals.
